It’s a fun show – fast cars, tasty accidents, and fun time with the riders and team bosses. Sorry about Max – maybe he should dedicate some time to learning how to be a clean driver, and respect his fellow competitors.

Max V might disagree with you – not a fan of his driving but he does have a point , manipulating timelines to create drama that doesn’t exist , while a part of ( not very ) ” reality TV ” is dishonest at best if not actually a outright lie .

Don’t think Netflix is faking things to generate ratings. Every narrative comes from a point of view – love it or leave it. Netflix doesn’t publish ratings.

Subtitles from English to Spanish and vice versa are always way off. The gist and the point are often not even close either. I have life long experience in this matter.

This year’s Daytona was full of action. I watched some and it was insane. When it rains out there, oh boy!

You know, another thing I noticed is how much respect I have gained for all these guys’ parents. Especially their dads. Major sacrifices were made by all of them.

Next, I tried to watch ‘Drive to Survive’. For whatever reason, I found it much more ‘superficial’ than ‘MotoGP Unlimited’. I think because there is real audio conversations between the drivers and their support teams, that series tends to focus more on the races rather than the ‘behind the scenes’ stuff. I personally find F1 a snooze-fest (give me Rallycross or off-road car racing), so maybe that’s why it left me cold.

I did try to convince my partner to watch an episode, but they view MotoGP the same way a surgeon enjoys seeing a rat walk through their operating room, so no-go.

Netflix is been accused of altering details , timing to enhance the drama .
Nothing less real than “Reality TV ” .

There’s a reality TV show that has filmed the contestants when they think/were told they were not on camera – makes interesting viewing , proving how faked most stuff is on this type of show .
Problem is how do they film a 2nd season now that cat is out of the bag ?

I’ve watched 6 episodes so far , watching in original plus subtitles* and I’m enjoying it BUT I had hoped for a bit more mechanical depth , tyre info etc , and it’s mostly personal/family stuff with a bit of racing thrown in . Enjoying it but hoped for more .
Don’t like Lin Jarvis .

* speak english , spanish and can follow catalan / valenciano and italian – even a bit of french on a good day so perhaps not best judge

Not so easy if you’re in a region where it can’t be shown due to licensing restrictions.
Doesn’t appear to be any quality control with the amount of versions that were released.

I had higher hopes as well. I was really hoping for something along the lines of “Drive To Survive” at least in quality of storytelling, but it is no where near the same level. I am not an F1 fan, have never watched a race, yet after a few episodes found myself really liking some of the riders (but still wishing it was on two wheels). Yet with this MotoGP series, the storytelling, or lack thereof, really doesn’t make any of the riders likable. They try a few times with flashbacks to them riding as child, but that’s about it…it’s followed up by the series showcasing bratty drama and calling it “passion” lol

What channel are you watching motogp through? I thought BTSport was subscription based?

Production level does seem high, but agree, not on the same level as Drive to Survive. What kept standing out to me was the silence during title sequences or transitions. Feels unfinished / rushed.

My non 4k version was subtitled on the west coast by 10pm last night.

Not great, but enjoying!
