No… not for the demo bike. Was not available. Shame.
I will try the inevitable enduro model in the future… but it would need to grow a bit.

It’s 5200 words long, so like, bring some snacks or something.

As the owner of a 2019 V4R track bike I will say it is incredibly fast but ridden within a few seconds of lap record pace the V4R is bike that requires precision and fitness from the rider to a higher degree than other sport bikes. People add tank extenders and seats to change some of the ergos but none of that has made a big difference in riding the V4 quickly on track from a physical exertion pov.

No, no base models to ride. The S brings a lot of convenience to the package, namely the electronic suspension. Hardcore track days will probably like the base model more, with its mechanical bits, but honestly they should just get a V4 R if they can find one.

Compared to the 1199, most bikes are going to feel thick in the middle. The ergos are good, but not really noticeable until the end of the day, when you realIze you’re a lot less tired that you used to be.

You couldn’t get one with the normal seat?

How does the new tank shape feel compared to the previous model, and how do the revised ergos work vs same? Relative to my 1199, the original V4 always felt a bit fat through the middle.

Glad to hear this. I am 3 days into a demo ride on the MTS V4 (Asia model)… and I can not wait to return it. It is a low seat option and bars raked back so the rider triangle is tiny…. which means 6’0″ me needs hip replacements after 1 hour in the saddle (versus 12 hour days on my regular MTS).

did you get a chance to compare the Base model vs the S? for track only riding is the S worth it?

Super bikes are work, no getting around that. This is the least tired I’ve been on one in a while though, and it’s not because my fitness has improved.

I think with some more time, and not sharing a bike between sessions, I could do a sub 2. Sub-1’40 is crazy. Zarco did a 1’45 or something today on a stock bike, which is just bonkers.

I’m 6’2” and get pretty comfortable on it. No knee problems after a day of track riding, which I think says something.

I do as well when some one says “AkraPOvich” instead of “AKRApovich”.

The gravity tends to run a little less in Bologna.
