Or is it just time to replace the cheap air canisters like you use on road-peddle bikes?

It’s already steep $$, but if I have to take it in after two falls, then we have an issue… I”ll read more! :)

That’s how I would define it, unfortunately those unfamiliar with off-road competition don’t necessarily know the difference and some folks put “motorcycle cross country” (motocross) as the word that defines all off-road racing.

MX is the former. The latter is usually classified as XC, GP, Sprint Enduros, or Hare Scrambles. MX is its own thing.

I have the first gen Tech air race vest in my suit and a bionic jacket for off road adventures. The feature set looks better than I would have expected. I wonder if we will ever see user replaceable cartridges for the road racing airbags?

Define “MX”, motocross? Like tracks and jumps or “motocross” like any off-road racing on a dirtbike, to include cross-country and enduro?

I’d probably go broke from buy CO2 cartridges though, using a minimum of 5 per ride! hahahaha

Whilst it is undoubtedly superior for the extreme incidents, it looks like a compromise for the 99% of events and riding.

For trail/Enduro, it It seems to be a full undersuit…. but it’s a fully enclosed layer with lack of ventilation, the hydration pack seems too small and hard armour areas are smaller than current enduro body armour types. One would still need to wear a jacket or additional bags for small item/tool storage. Personally… I would normally be running a bigger backpack/water pack/tools.

We usually measure our rides by the amount of ‘offs’ experienced that day… there are usually a few. How many would trigger this system? If none… then it’s a lot of compromise to carry for that 1% event.

For ADV, as the above it’s another layer to wear. One would still need an over jacket and/or storage for everyday riding usage…. and whilst I am sold on the impact element, I have more confidence in my current jacket’s hard armour for road event ‘sliding’ activities.
