I’m sure if Dianese was bought by passionate about motorcycling nuns who promised to use only leather from “happy” cows and to sell their high quality products at low prices people would still complain here. The comment sections on this website are populated by complainers.

I mean, they did own United Defense. But, outside of Michael Moore’s editorial programming was that criticism valid?

Weren’t they less than 10% invested in defense or something? Everyone was invested in defense at the time. I’ve got mutual funds that are holding more than that between Raytheon, Boeing, GD and the like.

Why? Carlyle Group is large, but they’ve still got quality brands under them.
It’s a wait and see to see how they treat Dainese.

Financially they’ve done pretty well over the last 5 years. They’ve had some hits and misses like most private equity groups though.

Here’s hoping they leave Dainese alone outside of perhaps more growth capital. Dainese really needs to expand their sales network akin to Alpinestars.

Id have to agree w Bob, Carlyle is the (((tribe))), horrible reputation. They could give 2 shiitz about the company, reputation or products. If we’ve learned anything over the last 2 yrs the tribe is obsessed with control for profit. I suspect its has plans to steer some major contracts, profit, and then for a lil satanic worship throw in some banning of white trophy lovin racers for not injecting an experimental gene therapy into their veins n wearing a slave face diaper while riding alone outside during Climate Change Awareness Month. Then while laughing they’ll dump Dainese like a used rag. Tribal capitalism at its finest.

Sigh… revenue growth sited… business’s smoke and mirrors.
Executives ‘grew’ the company through acquisition. More sales, but not necessarily a better financial health to the company. Those debts have to be paid, the interest serviced. The fat-cats probably got their mega-bonuses, regardless. Now the new owners round of actions will be to recover those even higher debts/interest and seek a profitable future sale.

The burden will be left to the employees to do the heavy lifting, cut costs, increase productivity and outputs, raise prices….. squeeze harder everybody!

This. Carlyle built their company on war mongering…..if that isn’t enough to shun whatever they’re involved in, then what is?

First it’s the Sauds trying to sponsor Rossi’s MotoGP team and then it’s Carlyle acquiring his race leather sponsor……is AGV funded by Russian oligarchs?

Selling out and putting the whole company in the hands of an “investment firm” that has no vested interest in the product line and what they provide to the world, only in the almighty dollar. Dainese can be chopped up and liquidated as fish bait at any time.
